I'm at my whits end here. All I want to do is to do the Leopard equivalent of search, where I type in some text that a file contains or the actual name of the file, and then search for it. But I'm totally confused on how to do it. Where's the search button? Do I have to keep interacting with stuff as always? I absolutely hate that concept. Anyway, I got it to work once but can't seem to duplicate it and it's driving me nuts. I really need to find my Greek lesson so I can finish it. Thanks.

Got a friend to help me. If anyone else is trying to use find to do it, forget it. Hit VO-m three times to get into Spotlight. When I first typed my text and hit enter, it send me directly into a file with it. However, when I tried again, the text I'd entered was already there and I was just able to arrow down the list until I found the right file. Bravo!

Well, turns out it was a fluke. I rebooted (not related to this) and tried the same command and no go. Gonna do it again for the hell of it but think I'm better off putting the whole thing in Windows and searching there. At least I know I'll get results. Man I hate the GUI and I'm not gonna use Unix, Linux or any other kind of ux cause they're even more complicated.
